Kano Consultants provides consulting services to the electric power industry. We provide engineering assessments, design, construction/maintenance support, and data analytics for departments that includes power generation, substation, transmission, and distribution.

Job Description Summary

We are looking for a part time Entry Level Electrical Engineer which may lead to a full time position depending on performance and company needs. The person will work closely with other electrical engineers to support assessments of power equipment such as distribution and transmission power transformers, power circuit breakers, electric generators, and station battery systems.

Typical job tasks include:

  • electrical drawing review and updates
  • short circuit studies, power flows and voltage drop studies
  • review of industry standards and requirements
  • review of maintenance test reports

Job Qualifications Education

  • Graduate or soon to graduate from an accredited university with B.S. Electrical Engineering
  • Master’s degree is desired
  • 0-5 years of work experience

Skills

  • Strong PC skills
  • Strong knowledge of MS products: Excel and Word

Location

  • 75% of this job can be done remotely but 25% will require commuting to the office in Pleasanton or a client facility in Northern California

 
 

We are looking for an entry level Admin assistant and Data entry specialist. Training will be provided which will eventually lead to career advancement and the ability to develop custom visualizations and use of the latest business software.

This position will work under the guidance of company managers to perform the following tasks:

  • Coordinate and schedule meetings
  • Respond to customer request via email or phone
  • Input and manage data in databases and Microsoft Excel
  • Act as administrator for Microsoft Sharepoint

Job Qualifications 

  • High school degree is a minimum qualification for this position
  • Bachelor’s degree is desired.
  • 0-5 years of work experience

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Job Description Summary 

We are looking to hire a proactive Entry-Level Help Desk Associate to join our team! This is ideal for candidates finishing an undergraduate degree or recent undergraduates looking to gain experience. 

 

Title: Entry-Level Help Desk Associate 

Location: 75% remote 25% Pleasanton California  

Employment Type: Part-time/ Independent Contractor to start with the potential to be full time.  

 

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance via phone, email, or chat. 
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues. 
  • Document and log all support interactions in the ticketing system. 
  • Assist in setting up and maintaining workstations, laptops, and other equipment. 
  • Stay updated on company systems, policies and procedures. 

 

Position Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field is desired but not required 
  • Strong knowledge of IT security principles and best practices 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail 
  • Ability to troubleshoot common technical problems. 
  • Self-learner and ability to work in an agile and cross-functional environment 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to positively work with others.
